Dobsonville police arrest a total of 257 suspects in March

Some of the arrested suspects were released on station bail, some at court, and others were convicted of the crimes they committed.

Dobsonville SAPS continue to clamp down on unlawfulness and criminality with the arrest of 257 suspects during the month of March.

The SAPS revealed in its monthly crime report that the suspects were apprehended for various crimes, around the Dobsonville policing precinct comprising of Bramfischerville, Mofolo North, and the greater Dobsonville.

The arrested people are facing various charges which includes domestic violence, illegal immigrants, rape, possession of unlicensed firearm, drunk and driving, possession of stolen motor vehicle, dealing in drugs ,selling of liquor without a permit and other crimes.

The arrests came as a result of collaborative efforts through crime prevention, sector policing, detectives, and collaboration between enforcement agencies such as the JMPD, Gauteng Traffic department, and other SAPS departments.

The police urged the community to report crime to the crime stop line on 086 001 0111 or send an SMS to the crime line on 32211 to report crime anonymously.
