“I commit myself to serve the community and endeavour to become a loyal citizen and make sure the school runs smoothly. I pledge to work with the parents to male Silver Oaks a school of excellence,” said Ntshabele.

According to Ntshabele, being a high school educator has taught her to be strong and teach with passion in order to understand and deal with difficult learners.

She explains that to be a principal or an educator at high school level, “You need to have the passion; the love and you need to have done child psychology to understand if a child is misbehaving or just being themselves.”

The principal can only go as far as her abilities can take her.

However, it is the support and the commitment of the parents that carry her and make her job more baring and successful.

SGB Chairperson, Anita Van Wyk applauded the officially appointed principal saying, “I thank the Lord for the principal. It takes a woman of courage to do what she does for our school. When a woman goes on her knees to seek the Lord and praises go up, the blessings come down.”

Her aim is to make sure that parents are on board to improve the 2023 results.

“My goal is to take this school to a hundred percent. 78.3% is a milestone but we are not going to be complacent and arrogant. We are going push for a 100% for every subject,” she concluded.
