Eldos police arrest 33 suspect for various offences

The arrests made were as a result of the unannounced operations conducted by the SAPS, within the Greater Eldorado Park policing precinct.

The Eldorado Park SAPS in collaboration with and supplemented by various other law enforcement agencies arrested 33 suspects over the weekend of March 10.

The arrests made were as a result of the unannounced operations conducted by the SAPS, within the Greater Eldorado Park policing precinct.

Police spokesperson, Sergeant Roxanne Gibb said, “The alleged offences committed range from common robbery, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, possession of drugs, malicious damage to property, theft from motor vehicle, attempted murder, and possession of unlicensed firearm, drunk and driving, assault common, theft and shoplifting.”

Amongst the successes, two children in conflict with the law between the ages of 16 and 17 were arrested for possession of live ammunition and theft from motor vehicle.

The suspects were due to appear before the respective courts, throughout the course of the week.
