It has been over a month since over 200 Nigerian schoolgirls were abducted from their school by the extremist Islamist rebel group Boko Haram.
This has brought the world together to unite and try and find these girls.
The African National Congress (ANC) Women’s League of Zone Nine also gathered their women from various wards to pray for the safe return of the girls and for their families.
Chairperson of the Zonal Women’s League Lydia Valashia said: “We are saddened by recent events that have taken place in Nigeria which have brought grief to so many families. We are praying that the Boko Haram group will ‘Bring Back Our Girls’. It is also our hope that the world will stay united to fighting against such ills.”
