the foundation donated 30 food parcels to disadvantaged families.

“Our focus is on underprivileged families from ekasi. People nominate the families and we look into the situation, and then we add them to our database.”

Three weeks ago, the foundation donated 30 food parcels to disadvantaged families.

Nosilela said they formed this foundation after realising that both of them were surrounded by many poor families and she was taught to donate since high school.

She explained that the foundation started as an annual drive on their birthdays and they noticed that many people are suffering on a daily basis and they want to use the foundation to help the community.

“Our aim is to get funding and our donor is Econo Foods. They provide us with food parcels and we donate to underprivileged families.”

She said when it comes to donations they avoid to ask people to donate money but they prefer people to donate clothes, sanitary pads and shoes.

They also don’t take pictures of their beneficiaries because some of them prefer for their lives to remain private.

“Our goal is much bigger than donating food parcels and clothes. We want to see families independent,” he added.
