Gauteng Boxing Promoter Association hosts exciting boxing tournament

Gauteng Boxing Promoters Association (GBPA) successfully hosted another boxing tournament at the Booysens Boxing Club on May 29.

GBPA is in partnership with SABC Sports.

Results:

1. Mini flyweight bout over four rounds: Zukisa Mafu(EC) won on points Mthobeli Quvile(GP).

2. 64kg catchweight over four rounds: Katiso Hlabane(GP) won on points Joaquim Magadula (GP).

3. Junior lightweight over six rounds: Sifiso Hlungwani (LP) won TKO 3 Pfariseni Khorommbi (LP).

4. Featherweight over six rounds: Vusumzi Ngcamu(GP) won on points Gerald Titus (GP).

Main supporting bout:

5. Super middleweight over eight rounds: Mbiya Nkanku(DRC) won TKO 7 Walter Dlamini (GP).

Main bout:

6. Featherweight over 10 rounds: Jeff Magagane (GP) won on points Sithembiso Maduna (KZN).

According to Colleen McAusland, the GBPA is planning to have these kinds of tournaments monthly to build boxing as the number one sport again.
