Young learners from schools around south Durban had interesting experiences on their first school day of the year.

Little ones were geared up to begin their learning adventure.

WHILE most learners were excited to start their first day of school, others were not so happy and sobbed as their parents left with mixed emotions as to how their little ones will cope on day one of the 2023 school year.

Teachers were well-equipped to deal with the anxious Grade R and One learners at schools in the south Durban area, with ice breakers to ease them into the start of their learning adventure.
