Second-hand goods meeting

BRIGHTON Beach SAPS hosts a second-hand goods meeting for Bluff and Clairwood business owners on 10 August.

The meeting will be held from 6.30pm in the Brighton Beach SAPS conference room.

“It is concerning to note that mobile device dealers who are selling second hand mobile devices, batteries, charges and covers are not registering under the Second-Hand Goods Act.

It must be noted that all provisions in terms of the Act, are applicable to record keeping, display of certificates and the seven day storage of goods. The storage facility must be registered separately such as to assist with the seven day storage of acquired goods,” said media officer, Captain Louise Le Roux.

Bus service back in action

THE municipal bus service, operated by Tansnat was fully operational again on Tuesday, 26 July following months of disruptions.

“The bus service was interrupted when drivers embarked on strike action due to a delay in the establishment of an entity to manage bus operations. The matter has since been resolved following an agreement that was reached between the city and their employer, Tansnat.

The city recognises and appreciates the patience and understanding shown by residents and commuters during the strike. We assure residents of our full commitment in providing a quality bus service,” read a statement from eThekwini Municipality.
