SATURDAY, 31 OCTOBER: The Dutch Reformed Church Fynnland hosts a fete and Christmas market from 8am until noon, at the church hall, 303 Lighthouse Road Bluff. Breakfast will start at 7am. The usual panckaes, pudding, vetkoek, home baked cakes/bread and homemade crafts will be sale.

SATURDAY, 31 OCTOBER: Mountain Backpackers Club hikers will tackle the African Fish Eagle trail with lots of birdlife through the Beachwood mangroves and along the north bank of the Umgeni river. Meet at Green Hub Durban at 8am to leave at 8.15am. The hike will be cancelled if it rains. Take cash for tea at Springfield SPCA at the halfway mark. The trail is about 13km long.
