Karate students compete in Funakoshi Chikara Martial Arts

Students of all ages and levels demonstrated their martial arts expertise, marking a memorable milestone in their journey of growth and achievement.

THE Funakoshi Chikara Martial Arts Academy was alive with excitement and accomplishment as karate students exhibited their skills and dedication during a triumphant grading event held on The Bluff recently.

Sensei Abigail Sueltz has assumed leadership of the club effective July 1. She conveyed her heartfelt appreciation to all participants and their families for their steadfast support.

“We are delighted with the dedication and progress demonstrated by our students during this grading. Each student has showcased not only technical proficiency but also the discipline and spirit that are the hallmarks of the martial arts,” Sueltz remarked.

The grading event, a significant milestone for students striving to progress in their martial arts journey, witnessed participants of all ages and skill levels testing their knowledge and abilities under the vigilant guidance of seasoned instructors. The dojo resonated with cheers and applause as each student received their well-deserved promotions, marking a new phase in their martial arts development.

Sensei Shaun, who has been pivotal in guiding the club for many years, expressed confidence in Sensei Sueltz’s leadership capabilities.

“Abigail brings over 14 years of experience and a profound passion for martial arts. I have full confidence that she will continue to uphold the dojo’s values and inspire our students to strive for excellence,” he affirmed.

In addition to acknowledging the dedication of students and parents, Sensei Sueltz extended a warm invitation to newcomers interested in joining Funakoshi Chikara Martial Arts. “We warmly welcome all new students who wish to embark on this journey with us,” she emphasised.
