Growing Wentworth soccer team needs your help

Community involvement and support can make a significant impact on the lives of these children.

AS the number of young, avid soccer players from the Wentworth and surrounding areas, who are a part of the Ridgeview Football Club, grows, Wentworth Angels have embarked on assisting the club in coaching the children to keep them off the streets.

Serving the sports needs of children in Ward 68, the founder of Wentworth Angels, Tracey Williams, said the coach, Neelan Naidoo, has taken broken children and made them his own.

“As an organisation, I feel the need to assist and garner support from people and other organisations that are making a difference in our community.

“I have been attending all matches and tournaments to support him in keeping these young men from getting involved in the social ills plaguing our community.

“Due to their kits being worn out, and more children joining, we are looking for sponsors to help us get another set for these young men. Companies can put their logos on the kits if they sponsor. I know that, together, we can help these young boys feel as if they have found their place in society through sports, which will contribute to a better life for them through the discipline sports brings,” Williams said.
