Durban Wanderers Sports Club community celebrate the life of long standing member Jeff Bolt
Join Wanderers members on Sunday, 27 June, for open trips followed by snacks and live music by Sheldon De St Pern from The Boys South Africa celebrating the life and legacy of Jeff Bolt to commemorate his contributions to the club.
Durban Wanderers Sports Club hosted its breakfast pairs on Sunday, 16 May.
In first place was Stuart Procter and Claude Newman and in second place was Gavin Conlon and Val McFarey. The winners were Quinton Bloem and Russel Shepherd, all three teams won meat prizes.
The sportsmen’s prizes were awarded to Nkululeko Duma and Trish Overington, both receiving chilli bites from the Wanderers kitchen.
Congratulations to Paul White for making the quarter finals of the national singles, as well as James Whitby and Gavin Conlon for making the last 16 in the pairs competition which was held in Cape Town.
A fun-filled weekend was held at the club. On Saturday, 22 May, the league’s first team is playing at home against Toti at 1pm. Wanderers hosts its very first open mic night for stand-up comedy at 6pm.
On Sunday, 23 May, club singles takes place, all tabs to be in by 8.45am.
The club is becoming the hub for entertainment especially comedy.
For an evening of laughter on Friday, 4 June, Mmangaliso Mhlongo will preform a one-man comedy show at 7.30pm, tickets are available.
