YWP FC All Stars shine at Reserve League

Well done to the YWP FC All Stars team and the team captain Trev Hardouin who lead his team to victory.

A chilly Sunday night, 9 June, in Hillcrest saw The Yellowood Park Football Club (YWP FC) All Stars team secure an impressive 3-1 win against Highway United FC in an away game for the Reserve League.

The game started off slowly with each team constantly losing and regaining ball possession. “YWP FC showed their experience by playing in Highway’s half of the field during the first half and dominated possession once they had settled down. Outside the big box, Jonathan Lawrence received the ball, turned the defender and took an impressive shot from the far side of the goals and found the net, scoring YWP’s first goal for the night,” said YWP FC coach Craig Inggs.
From then on the game was set in motion, where both teams upped their game with increased attack and defence moves. YWP FC scored two other goals, ultimately owning the game, although Highway United FC did keep the press up and were rewarded with a goal of there own in the dying minutes of the game.

“Well done to the YWP FC All Stars team and well done to the team captain Trev Hardouin who lead his team to victory. The game was played in good spirit. Thank you to the supporters who braved the cold in support of our team and thank you to Highway United FC for hosting us,” concluded a proud Craig.
