Results from the bowling greens

This weekend sees the Men’s Inter-club League continue with the first side travelling to Lahee Park, and the second and third sides entertaining Toti B and Gillitts at home.

Sunday, 28 April, saw the continuation of the Port Natal Mixed Pairs at Bolt-on-Wanderers where Awongiwe Somtseu and Chantal Hearnshaw beat Umhlali’s Louis and Linda Tolmay to progress to the last eight of the competition. Unfortunately, they lost the next game to Hillary’s Nolan Openshaw and partner.

Steve van Rooyen and his partner also made the last 16, but, unfortunately, lost their next game. This weekend sees the Men’s Inter-club League continue with the first side travelling to Lahee Park, and the second and third sides entertaining Toti B and Gillitts at home.

Friday’s various meat pack winners were:

  • Lamb pack Robbie ‘1 Ticket’ Carr,
  • beef Mandla,
  • pork roast Clive Symons,
  • beef roast Mandla,
  • chicken pack Tina Potgieter,
  • chicken Tommy Simpkins.

The R900 snowball was a carry over and the Friday Lotto was a R140 carry over as no one guessed the correct three numbers drawn.

The Joker draw will commence soon, watch this space.

Samantha’s kitchen is closed on Monday’s but you can order off her extensive menu every other day.

On Sunday, 12 May Samantha will be hosting a Mother’s Day lunch starting at noon. There will also be live entertainment and a Carvery meal (beef, pork or chicken). The cost is R100 per person and bookings are essential to avoid disappointment. Call her on 081-486-7039 for more information.

The club’s function rooms – tavern, upstairs and downstairs are now fully renovated and available for hire. The two squash courts also have some unallocated time slots for members and non-members. Contact the club on 031-462-2320 or pop in for further enquiries.
