Local athletes complete Two Oceans ultra marathon

Time trials are held on every Wednesday at 5.45pm

QUINS and Bluff athletes made the long trek to Cape Town to take part in the Two Oceans ultra marathon and half marathon on Saturday, 20 April.

Special mention to the Mighty Quins represented by Marlin Wilson in the ultra, and Jason Wilson and Dixon Naicker in the half marathon.

Harlequins Harriers time trial results from Wednesday, 17 April:

4.7km up run: Ignatius Gorejena 16.38, Romondo Thompson 22.19, Calvin Rix 22.19, Donovan Lelong 23.02, Graham King 23.07, John Mommen 25.55 (personal best), Basil Kok 25.57, Roxanne van Straaten 27.06, Wyatt Landsberg 27.40, Marlin Wilson 27.40, Victor Smith 37.03, Shammy Citlak 37.03, Ati Citlak 37.03 (junior).

The fixture list for 2019 has been sent by email to all registered members. Hard copy fixture books can be collected from Marlin Wilson or Judy Conlin after time trials. 2019 ASA licences are still available to collect after time trials. For those runners who haven’t already submitted their paperwork, bring the completed registration form, copy of your ID and licence fee.

Time trials are held on every Wednesday at 5.45pm, starting at Bluff National Golf Club in Club Drive. All runners are urged to wear light clothing and/or reflective belts while out on the roads. See and be seen, and stay safe. Runners should advise the timekeeper if you are unsure of the route.
