Woodlands BC’s Chad and Ryan ace any pairs title

The weekly meat draw competition was held at the main bar of Woodlands Sport Club on Friday, 5 April.

THE Any Pairs Competition was played on a cool cloudy morning last week Wednesday, 6 March at Woodlands Bowling Club.

The overall winners were Chad Wilson and Ryan Warren on 4+19 and second session went to Joan WG and Linda Green on 2+4. The roast chicken hamper raffle donated by Yellowwood Park Spar was won by Linda Green while Joan Bruce snapped up the R40 money board with Vic McCreanor snagging the R20.

The casual 4’s breakfast was played on Thursday, 7 March. The first overall winners were Harold Dix, Arnie Harper, Mike McFarland and Alan Bower on 4+23. Second session winners were Joan Bruce, Derek Stevens, Godfrey Addinall and Claude Newman on 2+15 and second session winners were Lindi Samuels, Nolan Openshaw, Henry Meyer and Norma Clifford on 2+8.

Linda Hewer won both R40 and R20 on the first money board and Lindi Samuels snapped the R40 with Norma Clifford taking the dregs of the R20 on the second money board. Harol Dix won the meat raffle. Thanks go to Gwen Tait for donating the bacon.

The Inter Club League team travelled to Stella Park on Sunday, 10 March. Harold Dix, Arnie Harper, Derek Stevens and Gavin Conlon won their game 19-17 and Norman Moore, Jason Hewer, Eric Coetzee and Andy Cloete peeled their game on 18 all with Woodlands taking four points.

The weekly meat draw competition was held at the main bar of Woodlands Sport Club on Friday, 5 April.

Adina Swanepoel took first prize, second was taken by Kobus Janse van Vuuren and the third prize was won by Gorden Tarboton.

The snowball was not won due to Graham Woycieh not being present.

The snowball and meat draw competitions will take place this Friday again at Woodlands Sports Club between 6pm and 6.30pm.

You must be present at the club with your membership card and be a paid up member to be eligible for the snowball.
