Wanderers bowler makes top eight of PN men’s singles

The Port Natal men's singles took place on the weekend with a few notable performances

DURING the week Chris Klopper took on Errol Pienaar in the Wanderers Bowling Club men’s singles and was victorious with a score of 21-17.

He will meet the winner of Mike Freeman and Richard Hendicott in the finals.

The Port Natal men’s singles took place on the weekend with a few notable performances. Richard Hendicott and Anthony Carr both lost in the third round, Lofty won three games then lost to Sandy Miller, and Paul White made it to the top eight before losing. Well done to them and all those who entered.

The club men’s nominated pairs has also been carded so put your names down, as the draw will be done this weekend. Next month will see the breakfast trips clash with the annual Bluff tournament, and it will thus be postponed. Contact Gary Moffat if you wish to enter a side.

Members are reminded that subs are now due and they should make arrangements to settle these.

Friday’s various meat pack winners were: Lamb pack – Jeff and Margaret; beef boast – Ian Demmer; pork roast – Trish; rump – Barbara and Brian Craig; chicken pack – Colin; chicken – Darryl Jacobson.

The R500 snowball was a carry-over as David ‘Toffee’ Kemp was not present. The Friday Lotto was a carry-over and now sits on R220.
