KZN’s oldest woman runner laces up for 2018

Harlequins AC currently is home to the oldest female runner in KZN - Joan Schoeman aged 82

FOR the second week in a row, time trials were abandoned at Harlequins Harriers Athletics Club due to inclement weather.

Athletes are asked to take note that 2017 licences will be valid for all races until the end of January 2018.

Licences for 2018 will be available before that date, with the cost yet to be confirmed.

The 2018 race fixture list is now available – contact Judy Conlin on 083-603-2877 if you require a copy before the fixture books are printed.

All current Harlequins athletes should confirm with Judy Conlin whether they require a licence for 2018 so that their current race numbers can be reserved for them.

Good luck to all runners tackling the picturesque Yellowwood Park run on Sunday, 3 December. Part of the course takes athletes through Stainbank Game Reserve.

Time trials on Wednesday night at 5.45pm start at Bluff National Golf Club’s main gates.

Harlequins AC is currently home to the oldest woman runner in KZN – Joan Schoeman, aged 82. Joan has confirmed she will be taking part in selected races up to 21km distance in 2018. She recently completed the tough Bluff Half Marathon with her son Alan Schoeman, daughter in law Bev and granddaughter Cayleigh, running with her. Keep going Joan, you are such an inspiration to all runners.
