SATURDAY saw one match played in the Wanderers Bowling Club (WBC) nominated men’s pairs, with Chris Klopper and Derek Stevens beating Peter Prenger and Brian Deats 19-8.

Last weekend saw three sides represent the club in the annual Westville Spring tournament.

While there were some notable victories, unfortunately no main prizes were won. Paul White and his team of Dave le Roux, Mike Freeman and Thomas Simpkins beat Gippo Vermeulen and his side in a close match, and also managed to secure a session prize – well done to them.

Friday’s various meat pack winners were: Lamb pack – Chris Fourie, beef – Jeff Bolt, pork roast – Deon Le Roux, rump – Tommy Simpkins, chicken pack – Porky, chicken – Hennie Geldenhuys.

The R600 snowball was a carry over as Garth Dreyer was not present. Friday’s lotto of R1,580 was also a carry over, and the joker draw was another carry-over as the syndicate of Pat, Richard, Anthony and Terrance could not locate the joker. The pool is now in the region of R21,500.

Friday also saw the main club host its annual Halloween party. Congratulations to all those how participated and won prizes, it was great entertainment. Patrons were also entertained by the sounds of resident DJ Kyle.

The annual Jacky Bollaert tournament with turkeys among the main prizes will be hosted on Sunday, 10 December, so contact Lofty if you’re interested.

Thoughts and prayers are extended to those members on the recovery list, get well soon fellow Wanderers.
