Women’s fours to descend on Bluff BC greens

Harvey for the second time in a row could not find the joker so the pool now stands at R5,500

THERE was only one club competition played at Bluff Bowling Club this weekend, a nominated mixed pairs game which saw Daphne Reinhardt and Noel Morel beat Robert Mhlongo and Glynis Mackrory.

There will be no competitions or tabs-in games this weekend as the annual Bluff women fours are being played on Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday.

There are 24 women teams entered to play, representing clubs from all over Durban and it is the Bluff men who will ensure the 96 women are fed and kept well hydrated.

On Friday morning the monthly men’s 3-2-1 killer sponsored by June and Glynis will be played. All male bowlers are urged to enter. The entry fee includes tea and sandwiches as well as lunch. For further information contact Dudley.

Friday evening’s attendance draw was carried over as Wayne Smith was not there to collect his prize. The lotto and the joker draw were carried over. The syndicate of Kurt and Harvey for the second time in a row could not find the joker so the pool now stands at R5,500, which is well worth winning this Friday, so members are urged to support the club.

Nominations for the new club committee for next year are on the board. Members are asked to think about proposals for this committee and nominate the right members for the job.
