Wanderers BC to host R/C drift nationals

The R600 snowball was a carry over as Mr G Reddy was not present.

WEDNESDAY’S Lynne Wild pairs first session went the way of Kurt and Dawn Spack 2+12, second session went to Brian and Joy Smith on a 2+17, while overall winners were Tommy Cloete and Derek Stevens.

The lotto reached a carry-over of R1,262 and the rump steak meat raffle was won by Julia, who also won the major share of the 60/40 board with Tommy Cloete.

The men’s drawn trips will commence on Saturday afternoon, followed by the second round on Sunday. Put your names down or be there for a 12.45pm start on Saturday.

Friday’s various meat pack winners were: Lamb pack – Val Hussey, beef – Des Demmer, pork roast – Mike Hussey, rump – John Thomasson, chicken pack – Bowls, chicken – Bowls.

The R600 snowball was a carry over as G Reddy was not present. Friday’s lotto of R90 was a carry-over. Richard again won the chance to locate the joker, but he was unsuccessful. However he did double the spot prize by guessing ODD correctly. The pool is now in the region of R13,500.

This weekend the club hosts the R/C drift nationals. Go along to see the best in South Africa take on the local Durban drifters.

On Friday, 28 July the practise sessions will take place, followed by qualifying on Saturday and the finals on Sunday. Entrance is free.
