FRIDAY’S Bluff Meat Supply men’s bowls proved a successful day for Terry Micholson, Albert van Niekerk and Tomcat Cavanagh when they accumulated a score of plus 17 to take top spot on the podium at Wentworth Bowling Club.

In second place, five shots behind, were Norman Moor, Andy Cloete and Hennie Marais.

Gerald C Royle, Phil ‘The Milkman’ Hill and Henry Welgemoed were awarded the sportsmen’s prize.

Travis Engelbrecht chose the lucky number on the pork raffle sheet to take home a sizeable roast. Brian Smith was rewarded for his morning’s efforts when he won the coveted beef roast. Travis added to his day’s winnings by taking the first prize off the first 60/40 board. Tom Cloete won the second prize on the board. The booty from the second board was shared by Alan Ritchie and Hennie Marais.

Get well wishes are extended to president John Somerville and club stalwart Flo Harper who are both recovering from surgery.
