DURBAN Ramblers Hiking Club undertakes a walk to Pigeon Valley in Glenwood on Saturday, 4 March.

This involved some street walking to the pretty little Pigeon Valley Nature Reserve. Walkers will encounter some steep hills going up to St Augustine’s Hospital and the university.
Everyone is invited to enjoy drinks afterwards at a nearby pub. Meet at 1.45pm at Stella Sports Club, 175 Helen Joseph (Davenport) Road. This 6km hike has two uphills and is graded one or easy/moderate.
On Sunday, 5 March Ramblers will take a hike in Scottburgh’s TC Robertson Nature Reserve. Call hike leader Anne Wilson on 079-850-0206 to join in this exploration of TC Robertson Nature Reserve and the surrounding area. The landscape will include some canefields, road and beach walking. Join in for drinks afterwards at the Blue Marlin Hotel. Meet at 7am in road at Glenwood Village, 397 Che Guevara (Moore) Road at 7.50am for an 8am start from the Blue Marlin Hotel, Scottburgh. Petrol sharing R50. This 15km hike is graded three.
