DURBAN Ramblers Hiking Club takes a hike in Hillcrest on Saturday, 25 February.

The hike goes down to the valley below with a small stream crossing.
The landscape includes some wooded areas, sugar cane and open areas. Meet at 1.45pm at the Keg at the Oxford Market (old Heritage) Centre in Hillcrest. This 10km hike is graded two, moderate. Meet for drinks afterwards at the Keg.
On Sunday, 26 February Ramblers will hike to Tanglewood in Kloof. Call hike leader Jenny Rooks on 084-952-0622.
This is an extension of the Saturday hike previously done in this reserve, taking hikers around the beautiful Tanglewood Nature Reserve and surrounds with a chance to see the rare Gladiolus Cruentus. As the hike will probably finish before the official lunch time, a snack may be sufficient. Join in for drinks (or possibly lunch) afterwards at the Kloof Country Club. Meet and park at 7.30am at the Kloof Country Club, 26 Victory Road. Cost is a R20 donation. This 12km to 14km hike is graded two, moderate.
