Lucky Friday the 13th for Carol
It was great to see Dennis and Joyce Holloway at the club again, after Dennis recovered from a foot operation.

IT was not a good start to the New Year as the any pairs competition which was to have been played on Wednesday, 4 January was cancelled due to inclement weather.
Thursday, 5 January saw the casual fours breakfast played on a beautiful, hot day.
Overall winners were Harold Dix, Bill Hewer, Lynn Carlyle and Neville Horner on a four plus nine. Second session went to Chris Pozyn, Debbie and Michelle Nortje and Bronwyn on two plus 10. Chris Pozyn snapped up the R40 board draw and Robbie Carr took the dregs of R20. Dawn Spack picked the right number for the roast chicken sponsored by Yellowwood Park Super Spar.
On Wednesday, 11 January the final of the mixed trips was played. Norman Moore, Tom Cloete and Lynn Carlyle played Rina Harper, Bill Hewer and Dave LLoyd. Winners were Norman and his team, who are now 2016 champions.
On Friday, 13 January, Carol Lauderdale won R500 in the 100 club draw for January. On Saturday, 14 January, a men’s singles match was played between Harold Dix and Eric Coetsee. It was a close fought game going down to the last end played, where Harold needed two shots to win and Eric needed three shots to win. Eric kept his cool and prevailed as the winner.
