Summer action for Bluff bowlers

Looking ahead, the action in December starts with June and Dudley’s 3-2-1 killer competition on Friday, 2 December, followed by Acutts pairs on Sunday, 4 December.

CLUB competition was the main attraction this week at Bluff Bowling Club, as the members prepare for a busy festive period.

Friday night’s attendance draw was won by Michael Schudel, while the lotto jackpot was carried over and now stands at a healthy R1,000.

On the greens on Saturday afternoon Glynis Mackrory and Rodger Scott played consistent bowls to defeat Spider Williams and Dawn Spack and win the mixed drawn pairs competition. In other competition news Greg Dorrofield, Jorge Santos, Harvey Simpkin and Chad Wilson beat Gary Moffat, Chris Pozyn, Deon Maritz and Michael Schudel to go through to the final of the men’s drawn fours. The final will be held this Saturday, 3 December at 2pm as club competition winds down for the year.

Both commence at 9am and the greens are expected to be brimming with bowlers. Off the greens a reminder that prize-giving is scheduled for Saturday, 10 December and the AGM set for Sunday, 11 December. Members are also reminded that subs are now due to secure Port Natal membership.
