WEDNESDAY’S any pairs competition went off well at Woodlands Bowling Club, with a few new bowlers coming to play and it was good to see others who haven’t been playing for a while.

Second session winners were Ken Thomas and Julia Venter on 2+4 and overall winners were Robbie Carr and Andy Cloete on 4+9.

Linda Hewer snapped the R40 with Ken Thomas taking the R20 money board. Kurt Spack won the meat draw, with thanks going to Yellowwood Park Spar for sponsoring. Drawn prizes went to skips – Margaret Kitchenbrand and Bob Hayward and leads Dawn Spack and Neville Horner. Gwen Tait and Sonia Moore won R40 each on the swindle. Denis and Joyce Holloway won the R500 from the 100 club.

Club members are to note on Saturday, 24 September the club has its annual AGM. Time is 1pm for 1.30pm with dress code in whites. Each member is asked to take a plate of snacks to share after the meeting, which will be followed by a game of fun bowls. The club is looking for new committee members. Step up and serve your club.
