THERE was only one game this weekend in Wanderers Bowling Club’s men’s drawn trips with Richard Hendicott, Shaun McAlister and Dave Matthews progressing to the finals with a three-shot win over Steve van Rooyen, Tommy Simpkins and Robbie Spiller.
The monthly breakfast trips competition was held on Sunday with the sportsman’s prize going to the winners of last month’s Claudie Allen Memorial – Lofty Cawthorne, Archie Fisher and Robbie Carr.
Session prizes went to Steve van Rooyen, Graham Funnell and Luke van Rooyen on 2+20, and Mike Berry, Bev and Aubrey on 2+11. In third overall was Terrence McGlynn, Paul White and Pat McGlynn on 4+10, while second place overall was claimed by Kim, Nigel and Lorinne Hawkins on 4+17. First prize went to Mike and Jackie Freeman, and Shaun McAllister on 4+26.
The R5 board winners were Andy Cloete and Geoff Atkin who each won a cash prize of R50, and the two meat prizes went to Joanne Jordaan.
Friday’s snowball of R1,200 was won by Chantal Hearnshaw. The various meat pack winners were: Lamb pack – Waco, beef – Clive Symons, pork roast – ‘Porky’, rump – Des Demmer, chicken pack – Rob Philogene, chicken – Des Demmer.
Brian Reid won the lotto worth R380 with the winning numbers of 4–5–3.
A weekly joker draw was started last month and the carry-over pool has already reached R1,400. Tickets are on sale at R5.
