The club thought it wouldn’t have the ‘any pairs’ competition.

However, after some snacks and a cup of tea, the rain stopped and the bowlers went out to play 15 ends in lovely cool, overcast weather. In second place on a percentage count out and taking the win on 2+13 were Bill Hewer annd Neville Horner. The overall winners on 2+21 were Ronnie Jackson and Chris Pozyn. Rex Meyer won the cooked chicken, bread rolls and Liqui Fruit with Gwen Tait snapping the R40 money board and Erick Coetzee taking the dregs of R20. Ken Thomas snapped the skip drawn prize, with Eileen du Plessis taking the lead drawn prize.

Sunday saw the start of the Port Natal Oppenheimer. Woodlands BC was a venue for the first time in a very long time.

Thanks to all the women who helped serve food and tea. Woodlands BC had four sets of players playing at different venues. Well done to Tom Cloete and Lynn Carlyle on winning all three their games and on winning their section. They will be playing at Amanzimtoti next Sunday.

The club wishes them all of the best.
