WITH the district men’s and women’s pairs getting underway last Sunday in the round robin stage where three games of 15 ends were played in each section, the only results to hand are that Wanderers Bowling Club’s Steve Van Rooyen and Graham Funnell made it for the men and Louisa McGlynn and Jo-Anne Jordaan made it for the women.

They will resume their campaigns next weekend – the men on Saturday at Wanderers and the women on Sunday at Stella Park.

The roadrunner’s open pairs will take place next Wednesday at Wanderers. Enter or confirm your team with Bob Hayward on 076-403-2265.

Note that the breakfast trips on Sunday will not be held owing to it clashing with the play-offs of the district pairs.

The women’s nominated pairs gets underway on 19 September.

Last Friday’s various meat pack winners were: Lamb pack Des Demmer, rolled beef Marlene Nair, pork roast Ralph Reinecke, rump steak Les Amas, chicken pack Mike Flack, chicken Peter Fox.
