Robert, Noel in Bluff BC perch hunters’ sights

The club's sick list this week sadly includes Dave Vincent, who is still in intensive care after his operation and Dawn Spack who is not well at the moment.

IT was a busy weekend at the Bluff Bowling Club starting on Friday morning with the 3-2-1 killer sponsored by June Foster and Eddie Human.

Overall winners were Eric and Steve on 4+34.

First session was won by Neil and Keith on 2+26 and the second session winners were Johan and Gary on 2+30. As usual Kurt Spack won the board draw and Gerald Chalder-Royle won the meat.

On Saturday a number of club competitions were played. In the women’s point singles, Sarie Bisset beat Judy Marais; in the novice singles game, Paula Osman beat Koekie Koekomoer and in the senior singles, Daphne Reinhardt beat Lilah Nel. In the only men’s competition, despite not being happy playing on A2, Dave Rowe, Jorge Santos, and Allan Moor beat Norman Robinson Harvey Simpkin and Michael Schudel.

Sunday was the monthly Acutts any pairs competition. The winners were Robert Mhlongo and Noel Morel on 4+23 so they are the ones to beat next month to keep the perch money safe. First session was won by Gary Moffat and Deon Maritz on 2+14 and second session was won by Terry and Dave from Wentworth Bowling Club on 2+21. The board draw was won again by Kurt Spack and the meat went to Patricia Buys.

The club’s sick list this week sadly includes Dave Vincent, who is still in intensive care after his operation and Dawn Spack who is not well at the moment. The club wishes them both a speedy recovery.
