Rina’s team claim Woodlands BC casual fours

WHAT a nice, busy week for Woodlands Bowling Club.

Wednesday’s open pairs game saw Herbie Roux and Gwen Tait winning the first session on 2+9 and Doug Moore and Rex Meyer winning the second session on 2+15.

The overall winners were George Harris and Ken Thomas on 4+21. Rex Meyer took home the meat raffle. Michelle Nortje and Gloria Rice snapped up the R40, leaving the dregs of R20 to Kurt Spack and Colleen Blenner-Hassett. The drawn prizes went to skip Gloria Rice, lead Sonia Moore, skip Linda Hewer and lead Ellen Loots.

On Thursday, the casual fours overall winners were Rina Harper, Norman Moore, Linda Hewer and Andy Cloete on 4+16.

First session winners were Peter Tayfield, John Somerville, Brain Smith and Ellen Loots on 2+7 and second session went to Jumbo Nel, Wonke, Lynn Carlyle and Zoe on 2+10. Dirk Venter won the meat raffle with Robbie Carr and Rina Harper snatching the R40 and Linda Hewer and Kurt Spack coming up from behind for the R20.

The drawn prizes were won by skip Eve Godbeer, third Michelle Nortje, second Chris Klopper and lead was shared by twin brothers Jarred and Keagan Bauristhene.

The July Sweepstakes winner was Richard Hendicott.
