THIS week’s Bluff Bowling Club competitions saw Judy Marais beat Phylis Maritz 21-12 in the women’s singles, while in the pairs Janice Rodgers and Paula Osman beat Dawn Spack and Patricia Buys 26-12.
In the mixed trips competition Gary Moffat, Brian Osman and Kitty Schaefer beat Glynis Mackrory, Hilton Lassick and Deon Els 24-11 and in the mixed pairs, Jorge Santos and Ronel Morel beat Allan Moor and Deirdre Koekemoer 20-12.
In the Port Natal masters in the women’s division, Bluff Bowling Club has four players Sarie Bisset, Glynis Mackrory, Daphne Reinhardt and Bridget White and in the men’s division Robert Mhlongo is playing.
The club is sad to report that Dave Vincent had a six-and-a-half hour open heart surgery operation on Sunday morning. Best wishes to him for a speedy recovery and club members’ prayers are with him, Rosa and the rest of the family.
On the social side there will be a vegetable derby on Friday, 31 July. All members are asked to book this date to support the club.
