THERE was not much happening this week at Woodlands Bowling Club.
On Saturday the drawn mixed pairs was played between Bill Hewer and Lynn Carlyle against Rina Harper and Andy Cloete, with Rina and Andy the winners on a score of 21-4.
There was also a game of men’s drawn pairs played between Arthur Carlyle and Denis Holloway against Norman Moore and Mike McFarland with Arthur and Denis the victors on a score of 23-19. It was nice to see Mike back playing competition. On Sunday, 24 May it is the shirts and skirts pairs competition. To enter a team, call Rina Harper on 031-466-3820.
On Friday night the club meat draw winners were Carole Lauderdale, Stu Douglas and Dennis Tarbotan. The snowball is another carry-over as Clint Walker was not there to take the winnings. The Saturday swindle winners were Keith Jenkins, Andy and Sandra Cox, Maria Berry, Cobus Janse van Vuuren, Trev Hubbard, Shirley Tomlinson (twice) and Dave and Arenle Leuchars.
