Two years’ prize giving at Wanderers BC

The main club’s subs are due before the end of March

IN a quiet week at Wanderers Bowling Club, the only activity was the prize giving which was for the years 2013 and 2014.

It was fairly well attended and run.

Lorraine Du Preez showed her efficiency at her new position as honorary club secretary by producing beautifully printed and laminated certificates for all winners and runners-up. Competition secretaries Mike Flack and Lorinne Hawkins did a fine job of announcing winners and allocating prizes and a delightful array of snacks were provided by the members themselves.

Good news filtering through was that sanity prevailed regarding the men’s league, and the formats have been returned to ‘normal’. The men’s league begins on 28 March.

Members are reminded that bowls section subs are now overdue and should be paid to Jeff, Lorraine or Richard as soon as possible. The main club’s subs are due before the end of March, and should be paid to Patti in the upstairs office.
