ON Valentine’s Day, Saturday, 14 February Durban Ramblers Hiking Club members hike to Emberton-Springside Nature Reserve.

The hike is from the Emberton driving range to the Springside Nature Reserve. Meet at the Emberton driving range at 1.45pm. Members will enjoy tea, coffee and cake at the Emberton coffee shop after the hike.
This 9km hike is graded one, easy to moderate.
There is also a weekend away planned for 14 and 15 February.
This joint Ramblers/MBC/ Midlands weekend is to the Edwaleni are in Mooi River.

This camping trip at Edwaleni, situated 43kms east of Mooi River, costs R80 per person per night. Take the off-ramp to Mooi River from the N3, turn right into Old Main Road. At the circle, turn right onto the R622 to Greytown. Look out for Joubert Store on the right and then take the District Road on the opposite side. Cross the Mooi River, take the first road to the right and follow to Edwaleni. Alternative accommodation is available if required.
The 14km hike will start promptly at 9am on Saturday and is grade two, moderate.
The club regrets there is no Sunday hike, but Sunday hikers are welcome to join the Saturday hikers.
