Good outing for YWP golfers

Lastly thanks to the sponsors and all those that helped to make the day a success.

YELLOWWOOD Park Golf Club’s monthly outing took place on Sunday, 25 January at the Bluff Golf Club.

Playing under extremely hot conditions, the players battled to get to grips with the course conditions, but a good day was still had by all.

Thanks to Neville ‘Oil Baron’ Montegue for the cold towels at the halfway house – for those that were lucky enough to get one as well as to Mitty ‘Skipper’ Chelan for providing a halfway house back at the club, leading up to prize giving.

The format was drawn partners and the results are:

First, Robbie ‘One Out’ Marten and Warren ‘Short Head’ Lester on 57 points.

Second, Garth ‘Sponge Bob’ Hancock and Clint ‘Grumpy’ Rusk on 55 points.

Third, Mickey ‘Bok’ Cox and Kevin ‘Joker’ Lacey on 52 points.

There were three nearest the pins. On the eighth was Nigel ‘Poo Bear’ Lotz, on the 12th was Craig ‘Creepy Crawley’ Sneadon and on the 16th was Clint ‘Grumpy’ Rusk.

Lastly thanks to the sponsors and all those that helped to make the day a success.
