Quiet week,but busy weekend for Woodlands BC

On Friday night the club meat draw was won by, Simon, Raj and George Moore.

IT WAS another quiet week at Woodlands Bowling Club, but the club had a busy weekend.

On Saturday, the mixed fours was played between Bill and Linda Hewer, Keith Nel and David Lloyd against Dix Harold, Colleen Blenner-Hassatt, Ralph Mostert and Bryce Bower with Bill Hewer and his team the victors with a score of 27-9.

Another fours game was between Norman Moore, Gloria Rice, Alan Bower and Dennis Holloway against Rina Harper, Arthur Carlyle, Andy Cloete and Daphne Els, with Norman Moore and his team winning on 17-15.

On Sunday, 25 January, the club will be hosting a monthly shirts and skirts competition. To enter a team, call Rina Harper on 031-466-3820.

Join the club on Saturday, 31 January for the ‘chicken fun day’. Anyone wishing to play to report by 1.30pm to start play at 2pm, at a cost of R10 per player. If you don’t have bowls, the club will supply them. Wear flat shoes.

On Friday night the club meat draw was won by Simon, Raj and George Moore. The snowball was won by Ansil Holder and the swindle winners were Ralph Mostert (twice), George and Dawn Moore (twice), Stu Douglas, Maria Berry and Keith and Merle Hughes.
