Bowlers to raise microphones for karaoke

On Friday night, the meat draw winners were S McNamara, B Hewer and B Swanepoel.

SATURDAY saw a pairs game played at Woodlands Bowling Club between Ralph Mostert and Eleanor Stewart against Arthur Carlyle and Lynn.

Ralph and Eleanor emerged the victors with a score of 19-11.

On Sunday the shirts and skirts breakfast was played but due to the rain, only one game was played. The winners of the first session were Phil Pieterse, Val Mc Caffrey, Johan Nel and Awongiwe Zandile.

Overall winners were Kim Hawkins, Lauren Hawkins, Mike Flack and Robbie Carr. Draw prizes went to the skip Harold Dix, third Rina Harper, second E De Kock and lead Eleanor Stewart.

The meat raffle was won by Phillip Paillare and the R40 went to Jumbo Nel (welcome back after a long absence) and Harold Dix grabbed the R20.

On Friday night, the meat draw winners were S McNamara, B Hewer and B Swanepoel. T Hubbard was not there to claim the snowball money so it’s a carry over until next week.

The swindle winners were: W Parkins, A Swan (twice), D Leuchars, M Smale, C Lauderdale (twice), G Moore, R Mostert and L Smith.

On Friday, 12 December the sports bar will hold a karaoke evening by Craig Coe from 5.30pm. Everyone is welcome.

On Friday evenings and Saturdays, Woodlands BC’s kitchen is open so go and enjoy a lovely meal made by Collin Dawson. There is also a children’s room available.
