Stainbank WI holds flea market

The fun group meeting will be held on Monday, l December hosted by Yellowwood Park WI.

STAINBANK Women’s Institute (WI) meeting usually starts at 9.30am but before then, the hall was buzzing with numerous tables all full of interesting goodies.

President Arlene Greenfield opened the meeting, greeting all members and visitors.

The WI is sorry to hear long-time member Elma Doig is not at all well. After the singing of Unity, correspondence was read by secretary Barbara Illsey, a letter of thanks from Val Cummings for the animal food they donated and from Evelyn House thanking them for the donation. There was also a letter from the Federation president thanking Stainbank WI for the additional items for Congress.

Treasurer Connie Stringer confirmed that the WI is solvent. Donna Chelin gave the most interesting recipe for a Christmas cake. It is a sure thing that members will be asking for a copy of the recipe. There was a short talk by Johan on the Fouriesburg tours next year.
