FIRSTLY, I would like to say on behalf of the Woodlands Sports Club and bowling section, our deepest sympathies to Maria Berry and family on the death of Greg Berry on Wednesday.

He helped stop a hijacking and gave chase after one of the hijackers and did a citizen’s arrest. While he was in the pharmacy, he collapsed and died due to a heart attack. He will be sorely missed at Woodlands Bowling Club. Due to Greg’s wake at the sports club on Friday evening there was no snowball. The winners of the meat draw were: First Karyn Wallace, second Shannon Palmer, third Cobus Janse van Vuuren.
