Wentworth BC welcomes new members

WENTWORTH Bowling Club drawn trips winners on Tuesday, 1 April were Terry Micholson, Brian Smith and Ron Addinall with a plus 7.

On Wednesday, 2 April, in the fun bowls, the first prize on a high/low draw was won by Terry, Spider and Eileen who peeled with 12/12.

The biscuits went to Johnny and his team with a minus seven. The raffles were won by Hilton Lassak (pork roast) with number two, and Des Dolsard (wine glass holder with number one).

Friday, 4 April was the men’s Friday casual bowls with first prize going to Herbie Hoffman, Brian Smith and Smiler Wilesmith on plus 13. Second prize went to Greg Mc Guiness, Moses Noba and Dave Millar on plus 11.

The biscuits were won by Gerald Castor Royle, Dave Carroll and Fred Andrews on minus seven. The pork raffle was won by Tomcat Cavanagh with number 44 and the 60/40 board draws were won by who else – Graham Bransby (first draw) with number 30 and Dave Millar (second draw) with number 27.

The scribe welcomes two new members to the club. They are Ron Gillespie from Wanderers and Clynton (Spider) Williams from Bluff. Welcome and all the best in your future with Wentworth Bowling Club.

Unfortunately this last Saturday, 5 April saw the A side (league) lose 7/0 against Northlands, the B side peeled 2 1/2 points each. Better luck next week, guys.
