Two in a row for Paul and team

This month's Lilah Nel pairs was held last Sunday and the overall winners were Terry and Charmaine from Westville on a 4+21.

PAUL White, Dave Le Roux and Bridget White defeated John Somerville’s side in the final round of Bluff Bowling Club’s annual twilight trips to win their second consecutive title, with a final tally of 11+29.

Clinton Bisset, Sarie Bisset and Deon Maritz finished in 2nd place on a 9+26 while Alex Fisher, Noel and Ronel Morel finished in third place on a 9+18.

The 11th position prize was won by Ben Newton’s side. There were six session prizes and these were won by the teams of John Somerville, Maree Sadie, Andy Andrascho, Greg Dorrofield, Kurt Spack and Dudley Dorrofield.

This month’s Lilah Nel pairs was held last Sunday and the overall winners were Terry and Charmaine from Westville on a 4+21. They claimed the R400 first prize.

The first session was won by Kurt and Dawn Spack after a count out with Harvey Simpkin and Michael Schudel on a score of 2+11. The second session was won by Dudley Dorrofield and June Foster on a 2+8 and the 50/50 board was won by Robin DeGouvia.

The Brian Osman pairs was held this past Thursday and the overall winners were Keith Wild and Eric on a 4+7 after a count out with Chris Klopper and Ron Addinal. The first session was won by Erick and Honey Kitchenbrand on a 2+10 while Alex Fisher and Tony Hoggins won the 2nd session with a 2+17. Ronnie Jackson won the meat raffle and Ken Koch won the 50/50 board.

On Sunday the quarter finals of the women’s and men’s PNB trips were played and the club had one women’s side in contention namely that of Daphne Reinhardt, Sarie Bisset and Glynnis Macrory.

Unfortunately they went out at this stage, losing their quarterfinal match by one shot.

The men’s inter-club league commences on Saturday, 1 March and the selected sides have been posted on the board. The Bell any pairs is scheduled for Sunday, 2 March.

A reminder to those entered in Bluff BC’s men’s annual tournament that it starts on March 8 and there is space for one more entry.
