Police thanked for aid in fence crash damage case

I do wish our laws would not suit the wrongdoer.

EDITOR – I would like to commend and thank three members of the Montclair SAPS whose names I unfortunately did not note, who assisted on the afternoon of Wednesday, 18 January when a vehicle drove into our yard on Montclair Road, taking down a portion of our fence.

The subsequent results of the incident, as undesirable as they unfolded, are sad. But I thank them and hope no untoward backlash results for them as the person who caused the accident was now changing accounts and blaming them of coercion.

You assisted me diligently and now the fence is repaired and my property and family are no longer at the mercy of opportunists who would have seen a vulnerable home.

I do wish our laws would not suit the wrongdoer.
