When will business learn to drive a clean-up of the parking lots?
It is appalling that high paying tenants cannot demand this. This is the general condition at all Bluff shopping centres and there is a dumb silence regarding the matter. The South African way seems to be ‘accept what we cannot change’ and yet this we can change.
The photos attached reflect the permanent state of the Hillside Mall Parking lot – this on a good day.
Shame on the anchor tenants, the big payers, for not enforcing and driving a clean-up of this shocking and permanent mess in what they use to sell in their businesses.
Clean up, landlords and look after your tenants.

EDITOR- We are disappointed that the mall looked like this on the day the photos were taken.
We do have procedures for the cleaning of the car park and obviously that did not happen that afternoon.
We are reliant on people and we were failed. Annette will be taking the contractors to task and we will try ensure this does not happen again.
In our defence, that particular corner is a wind tunnel and on windy days, litter from afar gets dumped there.
It is also a pity that people do not make use of dustbins for their litter.
