We are expanding and are seeking a suitable candidate to join our team in the Abbatoir as an ELECTRICIAN reporting to the ENGINEERING TEAM LEADER. The successful candidate will:
•Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance work in our processing plant
•Fault find, repair and maintain heavy industry machinery and related equipment
•Adhere to health and safety legislation specific to the Poultry Industry *` Adhere to systems, policies, procedures, job cards and schedules
•Work independently and as part of a team
•Weekend work, overtime and standby duties will be expected of the artisan
•Plan, schedule and organize your own work and those with you within the requirements of the work plan assigned to you
•Ensure assigned trades work is completed safely and in accordance with quality requirements Desired Skills:
•Knowledge of a poultry or abattoir environment will be of great advantage
•Ability to work at heights and confined spaces
•Possess working knowledge of VSD`s, Soft starters, PLC`s
•Understanding of basic principles of Ammonia refrigeration will be an advantage
•Knowledge of repairing and calibrating scales required
•Must have good communication and people skills
•Ability to work under pressure
•Own transport Desired Work Experience:
•Must have at least 3 – 5 years` electrical experience in heavy industry Desired Qualification Level:
