NOTICE We, Indurain Urban Planners (Pty) Ltd, have lodged a land development application (Ref 17/4/1/5), in terms Lekwa Local Municipal Land Use Scheme, 2020 and Section 66 (read with Chapter 6) of the Lekwa Local Municipality By-Law on Spatial Planning and Land Use Management, 2016, for rezoning of a portion of Portion 13 of the farm Bekkersrust no. 423-IS, situated 14 kilometres south-east from Bethal town, 38 kilometres west of Ermelo town, and 22 kilometres north of Morgenzon town, at coordinates 26?31`49.35″S 29?35`33.97″E, from `Agriculture` to `Special` for an Electrical Substation.
The main purpose of the application is to permit the development of an electrical substation on a portion of the subject property which forms part of the proposed Ummbila Emoyeni Renewable Energy Facility. A copy of the application and supporting documentation are available for viewing during normal office hours to be requested from the Lekwa Local Municipality Town Planning Department situated at the Cnr Mbonani Mayisela and Dr Beyers Naude Street, Standerton.
Written comments or objections together with reasons therefore in respect of each respective application must be submitted, in the prescribed format, to the Municipal Manager, P O Box 66, Standerton, 2430; or delivered to the Office of the Lekwa Local Municipality Town Planner Manager; or emailed to: imashishi@lekwalm.gov.za or tlehong@lekwalm.gov.za by no later than 16 August 2024. The format for the comments or objections may be requested from the last-mentioned email addresses.
