BAFDT is a support group for individuals suffering from grief and trauma.

BAFDT, a non-profit organisation dedicated to assisting individuals and families in overcoming grief and trauma, is calling upon the community to increase their engagement with its vital programmes.

The acronym ‘BAFDT’ holds profound significance, embodying the initials of the loved ones Anderson has lost, propelling her to create a sanctuary where others could find solace and healing.

Anderson shared, “Grief is a profound and often an unrecognised burden, stemming from pain that was previously not addressed, whether physical, emotional, or psychological. Our support group is designed to help individuals identify and navigate these sources of grief.”

Understanding the pivotal role of mental wellness in overall well-being, BAFDT places particular emphasis on addressing mental health concerns. Recent times have seen a surge in calls related to issues such as depression, anxiety and fear.

Anderson emphasised, “It’s imperative for individuals to tend to their mental health to unlock their fullest potential.”

BAFDT provides a spectrum of services, including one-on-one counseling and group therapy sessions. These sessions equip participants with coping mechanisms and strategies to navigate grief effectively.

“Our support group welcomes everyone,” Anderson affirmed. “Whether you’re grappling with recent loss or carrying unresolved pain from the past, our doors are open to offer guidance and support.”
