Help empower Isiaiah 54 Children’s Sanctuary with weekly wish list

Isiaiah 54 Children’s Sanctuary is a non-profit organisation that relies on donations from the community to assist them in taking care of vulnerable children in their care.

ISIAIAH 54 Children’s Sanctuary, nestled on The Bluff, stands as a beacon of hope for vulnerable children seeking care and support.

This haven, founded in March 2005 as a non-profit organisation (NPO), traces its origins back to a compassionate journey that began amid the HIV pandemic of 1982–1985. Glynnis Dauth, the visionary behind Isiaiah 54 Children’s Sanctuary, said, “Our journey began during the HIV pandemic in 1982 to 1985. Most of our children were positive and very sick. As a mother, each child is made to feel loved and special.”

Operating as a family haven, the home is staffed by a devoted team of caregivers who function as surrogate parents, uncles and aunts. Their unwavering commitment to healing the wounds of broken childhoods is the driving force behind the operation.

Day in and day out, these caregivers labour tirelessly, providing not only nourishing meals but also the emotional support vital for the children’s well-being.

As an NPO, the sanctuary relies on the generosity of the community to sustain its mission. Currently, there is an urgent need for essential food items to ensure the children’s health and vitality.

These items include:

  • potatoes
  • yoghurt
  • eggs
  • long-life milk
  • meat (chicken or beef)

Furthermore, Isiaiah 54 Children’s Sanctuary are raising funds for a new vehicle. The vehicle would be a significant asset in enhancing the organisation’s capacity to facilitate crucial medical appointments, educational excursions and recreational activities for the children.
