Zoë Solomon, councillor for Ward 66, announced the acquisition of a new cherry picker to tackle tall tree trimming in Grosvenor on The Bluff. However, she noted delays in verge cutting due to contractor-related issues, emphasising the need for prompt action.

With more than 60 stairways and pathways requiring attention, Solomon expressed concern over the lack of a contract for maintenance. Dave Nixon, a long-time resident and leader of the volunteer group, highlighted the urgency of restoring neglected areas and addressing safety concerns.

Nixon emphasised the need for collaboration with the Parks Board and The Bluff Ratepayers’ and Residents’ Association to facilitate community-driven initiatives. Encouraging greater involvement, he urged residents to join efforts in enhancing their surroundings and securing essential services.
